Serial vs. sequential hermaphroditism

[edit]

The current (11 April 2023) article say that "Sequential hermaphrodites can only change sex once." However, the reference says, "... the sex changing event is limited to only once in the life time[sic] among the sequential hermaphrodites. On the other hand, it may occur more than once in serial hermaphrodites ..." (Italics mine.) The current article does not mention serial hermaphrodites, and seemingly uses the term "bidirectional sex changers" instead, but includes them among the sequential hermaphrodites, thus directly contradicting itself. So, should we add "serial hermaphrodite" as a category? In either case, we should break out the serial/bidirectional ones from the sequential, yes? Yes, it needs to be clarified.Plantsurfer 12:29, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Should Pseudohermaphroditism be removed?

[edit]

Pseudoheramphroditism is now an outdated term in medical literature, so should it be removed? 2d32d23ff322 (talk) 01:17, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I made a grammatical correction

[edit]

In the section regarding human hermaphrodites, I correct the bad grammar of a sentence by removing the initial word, “though”. Otherwise the beginning isn’t a complete subordinate clause and there’s no independent clause! Check to see if the resulting sentence is factually accurate. If not, additional editing (NOT simple reversion) will be needed to ensure both grammatical-ness and accuracy. 24.154.117.79 (talk) 06:03, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
